To expand participation in rescue efforts, STRAY STAY initiated a remote feeding program for foster cats awaiting adoption. The resulting Cat Shelter Feeder is more than an automated feeding device—it serves as an interactive care platform that enables real-time engagement and remote participation in animal welfare.
Through interviews and field research, the team identified the operational challenges faced by rescue organizations and established key design priorities, including visual appeal, ease of maintenance, and future technological scalability. The result is an interactive care device that integrates remote video access and automated feeding through a connected mobile app.
Inspired by the concept of “home,” the design unifies roof and wall elements into a cohesive silhouette, while subtle color separation adds visual depth to its clean form. Internal components were carefully arranged to balance functionality and spatial efficiency, complemented by warm lighting that creates a comforting environment for cats.
