We conducted an in-depth exploration of the pulse diagnostic device's core functions and configurations to define its target market. Through the use of 1:1 physical mockups, we investigated operational workflows and ergonomic dimensions, leading to the following strategic design insights:
Intuitive Operation: High usability and intuitive controls are the primary benchmarks for personal home health management products.
Tactile Affinity: Products that come into direct contact with the body must possess a "friendly" and approachable aesthetic to increase user multi-demographic acceptance.
Universal Ergonomics: High versatility is essential, ensuring the device accommodates both left- and right-handed users seamlessly.
