MMBCU
The team identified key insights among white-label scooter users—specifically their demand for sustained comfort and reliability during long-distance and high-speed riding. Based on these findings, the team collaborated with SYM to define a clear product direction, resulting in a concept that balances both functionality and performance.

Guided by a holistic product strategy, we identify and define precise user and market needs.

The MMBCU expresses a distinctive European-inspired design through dynamic, tension-filled surfaces and fluid transitions of light and shadow. Rather than relying on sharp lines, its sense of speed is conveyed through sculpted volumes and richly contoured surfaces. The overall clean and minimal form language further elevates the importance of detailing.
Accordingly, the digital modeling team established a clear objective: to achieve a smooth, continuous flow of light and shadow from a distance, while revealing refined and surprising details up close.
A key feature lies in the body’s hexagonal patterning. While seemingly simple, applying a geometric array onto complex, highly contoured surfaces presents significant challenges. Flat patterns tend to distort or lose precision when mapped onto three-dimensional, variable geometry. To address this, the team developed an optimized method for pattern distribution across curved surfaces—ensuring both visual integrity and production efficiency, and successfully creating a signature texture unique to the MMBCU.

To ensure the feasibility of bringing an innovative design into production, close collaboration between the structural engineering and modeling teams was essential during the transition from design to mass production. Beginning with the internal clay model framework, the team carefully refined the underlying structure, aligning design intent with real-world engineering constraints to achieve the highest possible fidelity to the original vision.
To accurately realize the intricate snake-scale texture, the prototype underwent multiple iterations of fabrication and finishing tests. Through repeated sanding and coating processes, the surface texture was continuously refined, balancing engineering practicality with visual and tactile quality. Leveraging the model makers’ craftsmanship and sensitivity to detail, the subtle undulations of the scales were ultimately brought to life—resulting in a finish that is both precise and expressive.

In terms of color and material, the CMF team drew inspiration from the iridescent, ever-shifting quality of mamba snake scales to craft a vivid and almost otherworldly palette.
All four colorways feature a matte finish that conveys a refined, futuristic metallic character. By integrating pearlescent properties—such as translucency and high reflectivity—the design achieves a dynamic, color-shifting effect. Under varying angles and lighting conditions, the surface reveals subtle tonal transformations, creating a multi-dimensional visual experience where a single vehicle expresses multiple hues.
