萬昌造船廠 / Wanchang Shipyard

早年南寮漁港搭配當地天然獨到的地理特色成為當時台灣與中國大陸海運往來的最大港口。1959年謝萬利先生成立現今的萬昌造船廠。並成為台灣當時數一數二的造船廠之一。但隨地方產業結構的轉變,萬昌從創立至今已傳承到第5代,目前已轉型為海鮮餐廳,販售當地新鮮魚貨所製的餐點。
舊時造船的工廠已經不再打造新船,但仍保留了巨型船型模組與早期的造船工具與精湛的技藝,協助漁民維護與整修。

In the early years, the natural and distinctive geography of Nanliao Fishing Harbor makes it the largest shipping transportation between Taiwan and China. In 1959, Mr. Hsieh Wan-Li established the Wanchang shipyard, and it became one of the best shipyard in Taiwan. Nowadays, Wanchang is operated by the fifth generation, but they have transferred their business from shipyard to seafood restaurant due to local industrial transformation.

現今的老闆娘對家鄉濃厚的情感,將原先的船廠改裝為餐廳。
我們重新思考造船廠與餐廳的關係。造船的品質與厚實的工藝,成為出海時面對未知的最佳依靠。Logo設計將造船的工藝用縱橫的幾何線條來說明,並用海浪的意象勾勒出船隻傳達萬昌造船廠與海的緊密性。

The owner of Wanchang has a great affection for her hometown, so she transferred the closed out shipyard to a restaurant instead of lying waste. We consider the connection between shipyard and restaurant to create the best visual design.
The quality of shipbuilding is extremely significant as it uphold all crews’ security when sailing, so we fuse this part into logo design as geometric lines. Besides, we display inseparability of Wanchang shipyard and the sea through outlining wave imagery.

衍生設計 / Derivative Design

以造船與南寮地方文化延續為核心,提出設計需求,經由政府計畫協助文化再生,再透過浩漢設計從文化與設計需求結合轉化,提出設計解決方案。協助新漁人碼頭與造船廠品牌建立。

Apart with government culture regeneration project, Nova Design provide integrated design based on shipbuilding technology and Nanliao culture promotion so as to establish an appropriate brand value.

未來展示空間規劃 / Future exhibition Program

將階段分為三個部分,經由造船記憶觀光工廠為目標進行設計整合到長期營運與周邊活動推廣在地連結的過程進行設計規劃,提升造船與南寮漁港的連結性,重新規劃餐廳與造船廠內部的展示空間,為遊客提升南寮旅遊的觀光價值。

We divide this step into three parts, including tourism factory founding, long-term operation plan connected with local activities promotion, and interior exhibition space redesign. All these steps are all aim to make a great effort on flourishing Nanliao tourist industry.
